Halloween 2011

Timothy and I tapped into our inner child and went Trick-or-Treating with a bunch of costumed candy filled children.

The tweens and some of the little girls were nerds.  They were just perfect.  Adorably nerdy.

Our cousins Carly (Balto the wolf) and Lauren (the fashionable mummy) and nerds Alex and Bailey

Blakey the zoo keeper (and we couldn't find his hat).

The cupcakes that Timinda made

Sweet T. and I took the tweens Trick-or-Treating.  We were a nervous wreck keeping up with 5 energentic girls.  I guess we're still cool enough since we're not parents yet to be seen with them.

Happy Halloween from Timinda!

Bride and Groom Treats

One of my super thoughtful donors gave Timothy and I these sweet treats.  Bride and groom candy apples.
They were yummy (and sinfully sweet).

Honeymoon Day Five ~ Belize City, Belize

DSC_0472

Snorkeling and relaxing on the beach was on today's agenda.  Our ship docked in Belize City, Belize.  We decided to check out the excursions on the dock and chose to go on a snorkel and beach tour.

The weather was a bit balmy but not too hot or cold.  The snorkel boat company had plenty of water for us.  It was our first time drinking H20 from a bag ... they might just be on to something!

It was Timothy's first time snorkeling.  He did great!

It was fun for me to watch Timothy experience fish and coral up close and personal for the first time.

We chilled on the beach for awhile.  I got a *little* sunburned but nothing a little aloe spray couldn't take care of.

We used one of our "good faith" (ie credit for customer service issues!) coupon to eat on board one of NCL's specialty restaurants.  We both agreed on Teppanyaki.  The Teppan Chef cooked everything Gluten Free for me.  I could used to this!

Fruit sushi... with the yummiest secret sauce.

Timothy tried edamame beans for the first time and liked them too!

Another night of the sounds of Bernie Martini in Champagne Charlie's.  Elton John and Scrabble games?  Pretty sweet.

Susan and I volunteered to do a little audience participation dance to win a free cd.  Dorks!!!

We called it an early night and headed back to our closet cabin just passed 11pm.  (Don't you love my new jelly watch?  It was an awesome birthday present from our friends The Kaufmans.  They know me too well!)

Tomorrow is Cozumel, Mexico.  Calling for rain.  But we won't let that stop us...

Honeymoon Day Three ~ Costa Maya, Mexico

cru1 (2)

Our ship docked bright and early in Costa Maya, Mexico.  Although we had to actually set an alarm to wake up.  The benefit of having an inside cabin means absolutely no light sneaks in!

cru1 (3)

We opted to do our excursions on our own.  To save money and have more freedom to do what we wanted.  I got to pick today's excursion ~ A field trip to Mayan Ruins.

cru1 (4)

It was hot. Like Memphis, Tennessee or Atlanta, Georgia in July h-o-t.  We've been spoiled by the not so humid weather of the West Coast.  The tour bus had air conditioning, thank the good Lord.

cru1 (5)

We traveled through town until we arrived at Chacchoben.  chak-CHO-ben means "the place of red corn," in Mayan.  It is found about 110 miles south of Tulum.

We had a very knowledgeable (and funny) guide.  We learned quite a bit on our field trip. The first human settlements in the area of Chacchoben, have been dated as early as 1000 BC.

We headed into Costa Maya in search of a real Coca Cola Classic (our ship has Pepsi - yuck) and a Nativity Scene.  My Nativity Scene collection is growing.  It will be cool to set them out in our condo this Christmas.

I love that Timothy is growing out his goatee.  Although it will be short lived (he must be cleaned shaven when he starts work for Disney) it's still my favorite, "look."

We made it back to the ship with plenty of time to take a nap, relax in the spa, and eat a late lunch.  Dinner started just as we started sail for Honduras.
We are loving the pace of this vacation.  A great Honeymoon!

PS.  Happy 1st Birthday to our nephew, Nicolas Kenneth!  LaLa and Uncle Bo LOVE you!
