Honeymoon Day 1 ~ Setting Sail from New Orleans

We made it to our Honeymoon Cruise!  We flew out of The ATL and took a shuttle to the Port of New Orleans.  Once through the embarkation process we explored The Norwegian Spirit ~ our hotel on the sea for the next 7 nights.

Happy one month anniversary to Timinda!

Our inside (economy!) stateroom.  Take a left off the elevators, passed the quarter sized cigarette burn in the red carpet right next to the big suites and you'll find our humble abode.

We had a good laugh after reading our Happy Honeymoon sign and seeing the I Love Lucy bed arrangements.  First (of many) calls to Guest Services to have them arranged into a King sized bed.

Holy N'awlins Saints loyalty.  Every TV onboard was tuned to the big game.  (Oh, and they lost).

We're looking forward to some LIVE nightly entertainment.  The cruise director is a bit used car salesmanish (I can get you into that low mileage 2000 Oldsmobile today) but we appreciated his enthusiasm.  The singers and dancers created a great Welcome Show.

 

And Melinda is VERY excited about the Broadway Tribute. :)

After our Lifeboat Drill (and a few rounds of singing the theme from The Titanic) we were ready to say good-bye to the outside world and start our Honeymoon!
